Our History

ALL INDIA EX-ITBPF PERSONNEL WELFARE ASSOCIATION is an Association of those all ranks (Officers, Sub-ordinate Officers and other ranks), who retired from INDO TIBETAN BORDER POLICE FORCE on superannuation, honourably discharged on own request (having served for a minimum 5 years), families of deceased members/ ITBPF personnel. It will over time assume the character of a Federation of similar Associations at State/ Regional level.

Vision

The AIEPWA will become a melting pot of ideas and endeavours to ameliorate the status and honour of veteran HIMVEERS, and to channelize their intellect and expertise in the service of the Nation.

Mission

The AIEPWA will Strive to………..

Organise and unite the ex-ITBPF personnel towards a gainful occupation in the service of the Nation
Take up and expedite with the Deptt & Govt of India, matters of Service and welfare of retired/ deceased personnel and their families
Represent and front the ex-ITBPF personnel to sensitise and publicise their expectations, grievances and judicious entitlements.
Build up a Forum, and a platform to share ideas and information, to bolster brotherhood and espirit-de-corps for mutual benefits
Inculcate confidence, strength and aptitude among members to live a life of dignity, honour and reasonable comfort

President

 

M.S. Bhurji , the president of AIEPWA, retired from Directorate General as Inspector General (Operations) on 28th Feb. 2014. He lives in Mohali and is active in the field of professional work. He has served on the borders of Himachal Pradesh, J&K (Ladakh), Uttrakhand, North East and has commanded all Training Centres of ITBP, and is a proud recipient of Prime Minister Medal for Life Saving, Distinguished and Meritorious Service Medals.

Dev Raj Sharma

Vice President

 

Dev Raj Sharma, the vice president of the AIEPWA, retired from 16th Battalion as Commandant on 30th sept. 2005. He lives in Chandigarh, and is a active the CAPF Retired Officers Association. He has served on borders of Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, J&K (Srinagar, Ladakh) and ITBP Academy Mussoorie. He is a proud recipient of Meritorious Service Medal, Police Special Duty Medal, Sangram Medal and Antrik Suraksha Medal.

Kabul Singh Bajwa

General Secretary

 

Kabul Singh Bajwa, the general secretary of the AIEPWA, retired from ITBP Academy as Director Cum Inspector General on 30th Nov. 2011. He lives in Kurali, Distt. Mohali (Punjab), and is active in social welfare of retired ITBP Personnal. He has Served on the borders of HP, Uttrakhand ,J&K (Srinagar & Ladakh), North East And Training Centres. he has also served in Punjab Police as Deputy Director Punjab Police Academy Phillaur, and is a proud recipient of President’s Police Medal for Gallantry, Distinguished and Meritorious Service Medal, Police Special Duty Medal, Antrik Suraksha Medal, Op Rakshak, Op Vijay and Op Prakram Medal.

Prem Chand Saini, the Assistant Treasure of the AIEPWA, retired from North West Frontier Headquarters as Inspector Tele-communication on 1st feb 2013. He lives in Zirakpur, Distt Mohali (Punjab), and is active in the field of social welfare of retired ITBP Personnel. He has served on borders of HP, J&K (Ladakh) and VVIP Security. He is a proud recipient of Police Special Duty Medal, Antrik Suraksha Medal, and 25th and 50th Independence Anniversary Medal.

Sh. Harpal Singh Kanwar

Treasurer

 

Harpal Singh Kanwar, The treasurer of the AIEPWA retired from 29th Battalion Jabalpur as Assistant Commandant on 31st Aug 2013. He lives in Kharar, Distt Mohali (Punjab), and is active in the field of social welfare activites of retired ITBP Personnel. He has served in ITBP force for 38 yrs. on the borders of HP, Uttrakhand, J&K (Srinagar & Ladakh), North East, and is a proud recipient of Police Special Duty Medal, Sangram Medal, Antrik Suraksha Medal and 25th and 50th Independence Anniversary Medal.

The Constitution and Bye-Laws of the All India Ex ITBP Personnel Welfare Association (AIEPWA) as submitted to the Registrar of the Societies Punjab at the time of registration are quite comprehensive, legally as per the requirement of the registration of society act 1860, and encompass all the necessary provision.
